Scuffle in the South China Sea #28

The Chinese appear to have reason to be able to claim they can detect stealth aircraft in the South China Sea. As we all know, stealth is not the Klingon Cloaking Device, it merely reduces the range aircraft can be detected, not make them invisible.  The Chinese have dropped a radar installation on Cuarteron Reef.  With the range reduced from where the radar is to where the stealth aircraft are, that greatly increases the chance of detection.

The US will be continuing the military flights through the South China Sea despite the radar and missile emplacements.

The US naval commander has stated China is changing the operational environment of the South China Sea with its radar and missile emplacements.

The Japanese have reiterated their support for the US in Asia and especially in the South China Sea.

Cambodia is conducting naval exercises with China and has not been opposing China's claims on the South China Sea.

Here is one opinion of what the US ought to do in the South China Sea to limit the changes China is slowly forcing on the status quo.

I have to wonder, at what point, in the political arena when someone is going to ask, "Who lost the South China Sea?"
